Lancaster, PA November 12, 2016:
Humankind Beverage, a company known for its locally sold premium spring water and philanthropic mission to provide clean drinking water to the world, has teamed up with members of the same Frey family that started Turkey Hill, to launch a new line of premium USDA Organic Iced Teas and Lemonades. For every bottle of tea and lemonade sold, the company will provide 50 gallons of clean drinking water through its 501c3 partner, the Kind Human Foundation.
T.J. Foltz founded Humankind in 2011 with the original bottle of Humankind Water, the story of a water company that gave 100% of its net profits from sales of the water, to help provide clean drinking water to the poorest of the poor was spurred on by social media to help them win 1st place in a national contest that included over 4,000 other competitors. The water is now sold at all Turkey Hill Minit Market stores and is found in more than 350 locations in the Central Pennsylvania area.
Since their founding, Humankind and the Kind Human Foundation, have been able to provide access to clean drinking water to more than 120,000 people globally. By multiplying the number of people provided for, times the expected lifespan of the wells and filters, over 1,000,000 “people years” of clean drinking water has been provided so far. They have done over 120 projects in India, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Uganda, Nepal, Malawi and Tanzania.
In 2014, Mr. Foltz met with Quintin Frey, the then President of Turkey Hill Dairy and introduced Frey to the Humankind concept, which utilizes the powerful force of business to create meaningful and positive change. Frey loved it and worked to bring Humankind Water into Turkey Hill Dairy and the Turkey Hill Minit Market stores, Humankind’s largest retail partner. Frey’s youngest son, Ethan, was a salesperson working for Turkey Hill Dairy who loved the mission of Humankind the moment he heard it. He loved it so much, that he eventually left the company to put his talents to work for Humankind full-time. He has been the driving force behind the new product launch and will be leading the sales efforts of the Water, Teas and Lemonades.
“Having Ethan on the team has been a total game changer,” says Foltz, CEO of Humankind Beverage. “He immediately got behind what we were doing, which is trying to give people a crazy easy way to do good in their daily life. His addition to the team has given us so much new energy, expertise and contacts. These new products are going to rapidly increase the amount of philanthropic giving we can do. And by the way, these new drinks are A-MAZ-ING!”
The 5 new flavors include Organic Sweet Tea with a Hint of Lemon, Organic Peach Tea, Organic Jasmine Lime Green Tea, Organic Lemonade, and Organic Strawberry Lemonade.
